Sarcomatrix Therapeutics Corp.’s exclusive research Partner Strykagen Awarded SBIR Phase 2 Grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to advance small molecules promoting muscle regeneration.

RENO, N.V., Sept. 15, 2023 /Businesswire/ — Strykagen Corp. the exclusive research partner of Sarcomatrix Therapeutics, Corp., a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of therapeutics to address muscle wasting diseases, announced today that it was awarded a $958,973 (of a total $1,953,245) Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to conduct Investigational New Drug (IND) enabling studies for S-969,  a first-in-class small molecule that may halt or reverse muscle wasting diseases, like muscular dystrophies, cachexia and sarcopenia.
